Skara lay some distance from the tree with his muzzle on his forepaws, he studied it intently and gave - what to humans would be just a twitch- a frown. He has seen this tree before, back home, back in the other world. It looks to be the exact same, down to the leaves fallen on the gound... perhaps this a a weak point between the worlds. It would explain why he has little effort jumping here.
He looked up at the moon and yawned the sun will be up soon and with that he yawned and stood up, his watch would soon be over and he would be free to explore more of the dark forest. The wolf stretched and yawned again, his ears titching at the sound of a wolf approching. He slowly turned to face the wolf as it approached, his glowing light blue eyes watching them.

Akari wandered, pacing back and forth on her padded paws lightly at the boarders of the pack grounds. She was scouting the edge of the frield, seeing for newcomers or if there was anything strange past the edge. Staring into te black forest, the limbless trees and the bare floor, she sees nothing and hears nothing. Lifting her head, she listened once more but turned on her heels and headed around again, going back to the safety of the Den.
On her way around, she was looking at her surroundings. She had to peel her eyes away from the black forest that she walked so near to and she retreated to walk inward the wide field. She stopped all of a sudden as an unfamiliar scent came across her nose. As the Reining Alpha she had to decide wether or not this was an intruder or a newcomer. She she sniffed around, looking at the wide branched tree with a river of fallen leaves surrounding it's ground. She seen a large black wolf with strange markings. But when the wolf turned his head around, his eyes layed right on her. She stiffled a growl in her throat but seen something deeper in his deep blue eyes. Standing up, she walked over slowly, just under the shadow the moon was casting around the limbs.
"Hello, I'm Akari. Your name?" Akari never meant to came on so strongly but that's the way it came out. She gave a mental note stuck to the side of her head saying to not be so harsh to ne wolves. But giving what she ahd said and the way she said it, she held her eyes with his, her ears perked foreward.

Skara bowed his head in respect and chuckled at how strongly she came off. "Skara milady. I have been waiting from dusk til dawn to be approached." he said confidantly, "I seek an audiance with an Alpha. I have been looking for your pack for two years, there are more of us and I have been given the mission of finding the wolves that my mother's pack broke of from fifty years ago and seeing if this place is one they can stay with members of another pack so we can have a haven for those ill like me. We are not contagious, it is our bodies and mind."

As Akari stood her ground, listening to the one named Skara, she comprehended his words carefully, trying not to judge the way he bowed and how confident he had seemed around her. When he spoke of illness, she dropped her eyes to the ground and her ears to her head, feeling a stupidity crashing over her. If she would've known he was sick, she wouldn't have sounded so bold. But when he spoke of others who sent him to look for this place since two years, she was confused.
"I am the reining Alpha for as the original reining wolves have wandered away from these lands, leaving me to care for it" She sounded high and mighty but that is definitly not the way she felt. She should be sounding soft and sincere but she couldn't get her words out right. "You seek the Alpha and so you have found her." Smiling with these words, she returned her gaze to his, kindness in her eyes.
She walked over to him and sit by the tree, realizing that he hasn't harmed her yet so she'll give him a chance. "So, what do you want to speak to me about?" She says with a smile and a turn of her head, trying to look more calm then tense.

Skara chuckled when he saw her reaction to his words, "There is no need for that milady." he said walking to her yet standing a careful distance from her, enough distance that she would see she has enough time to react to any hostile reactions, "It is not an illness that will kill us, it sorts itself out every eight months or so. It is others that could die from our actions or being forced to kill us."
He bowed his head at her words, "Then I ask of you if I and later my people can live with you. We need a safe place to study and learn how to deal with this illness. To see if there is any other way to relieve the symptoms rather that the method I discovered. It is no way to live... We cannot ever have a home otherwise."
"I believe I should tell you of this illness." he told her and with a slight hesitation he began, "My people come from a different dimention, well my father's side. My mother's family were originally from this world. I was the first born of the two bloods mixing and in return for the power it gives me, gives others like me, it degrades our minds." he told her, "It takes roughly six months for the madness to show. It is at this point that we take them to the other world and the cycle begins anew. It only takes a week to recover."

Skara began to tell Akari his story and what the illness he spoke of was about. She listened intently and gathered all his information in, trying to understand but ahving trouble. From what it seems, he comes from another dimension and the illness happens between cross breeds of the two. It takes a week to recover but how do they recover if he said that he would rather find another way to solve this than the way he has already found.
"So you said it takes a week to recover, does that mean that you go mad in one dimension and have to keep switching to recover?" She asked with a hesitation because this was new to her and as the reining Alpha, she needs to know answers of his backround if she's to let him into her pack.
Her pack was small but she does need information to know who they are and what their powers are if they have them. Taht brought a thought to her mind. "What powers does your family posses?" She asked calmly before she gve him a chance to answer his first question which she shouldn't have done but it's to late to take it back now.

"Yes. Exactly! We cannot have a home. It happens automatically, the switching. Our powers go out of control and take us here. Me and several others were since taught how to shift at will and how to take others. It keeps everyone safe." he told her, "And coming here, all alone and no clue how to get home... it's terrifying." he said with a hint of sadness, "I have saved most from this but there are a few others that I couldn't, that I have been searching for. These are my people. I am the first, it is my responsibility to protect my people."
"What powers do your's posses?" he countered with a grin, she isn't the only one with family to protect. "We mostly control light and/or darkness. Some flame, earth, wind and a shit load of others. It varies, as does your pack." he answered before his ears fell, "As for those indigenous of the other world... it is difficult to explain... creation does there will. In this dimension there powers are vastly weakened, and they can only do two, three things, whether it be elements or other voodoo stuff." he told her wearily with fear and awe, "The pack, they are... they can do anything. Huge dangerous beasts roam my home. Those wolves protect life from them and they are very peaceful, killing pains them... there are all empathic, so strong they can feel residual emotion in the air. Of course that is again only in the other world, some say their strength is linked to that world, some say to the beasts that roam it. Whatever it is there powers are no stronger than mine. They also will not attack you."
He licked his nose and whined, "Sorry my explanations are all over the place. As I said they are difficult to explain and my mind is degrading. I have seven weeks before I must return."

She listened to his words intenetly again, as he was trying so hard to explain where he's from and what his powers were. Itwas confusing for her but she tried her hardest to understand. It has to be hard for him, as he said that he can enver ahve a home.
"You say that you can never have a home becauxe your always shifting from world to world correct?" She asked but knew it was the right answer. "So while your in this dimension you will have a home. Here" She says to him with a smile and knew she was doing the right thing. Telling by his story and how he acted, it doesn't seem like he's a threat, just a lost soul and body between worlds.
Remembering his earlier question of what powers does her family posses, she laughed a little. "So what powers does my family posses?" She thought about this for a little while. "Well, my family in particular comes from Dark Magic. We weild the power and we use it in a way we find easiest. Some use it to boost their speed, others use it as a shield, and others like me use it as an attack." She might have made some sense but it came out sort of cloudy.

"Yes that is correct." he said with a twitch of his tail. He looked at the female for a long time after her words as he thought them over, "Are you sure? I am far from safe, far from a threat even. I am downright dangerous. If I get hurt enough I may wake up with my mind too far gone to shift. Last time that happened I woke up covered in blood and flesh, I could barely open my eyes due to dried blood." he said his ears flat on his head, "I wouldn't want to trouble your people."
"The powers of darkness are strong, darkness is constant. Everywhere. Even in our hearts." he said quietly and looked at her, "You are beautiful."

Akari watched as his ear flattened tight to his head. She felt sympathy for him and that's why she is still going to stand with what she thinks is right. "What ever troubles come accross for you, me and my pack will be here to support you and help you as much as we can. You home is here now if you wish to stay."
When he commented on her beauty instead of her powers she just explained, she grinned ear to ear. "Why thank you. That was sweet." She thought of what needs to be done now. There was no process that he needed to go through except tell his backround and he did that first hand. So now all there was left to do was to show him around the land.
"Okay, so if you wish to stay, how would you like to get some food, or for me to show you around and meet everybody?" she asked, knowing that there was only her and Douzan in her pack right now but introductions are always important.

"I hate to sound rude but alpha or not you do not have the right to say that your pack will support me, an outsider. Nor will I accept any help, not until I have shown I am worthy of help, that I prove to them I am worth helping." he told her every word meant. He stood and shook his body, "But thank you for the offer, I will interect with you pack if they will have me but until they see me as more or less one of them I will remain on the fringes."
He grinned at her and nodded, "Food sounds good. What shall we hunt? Go for convience and boring deer or some excitement and danger like a bear?" he asked with a gleam that showed which one he would like to take on, the bear. "And then I would like to meet them. I am much happier when my stomach is full of hot flesh and blood."
